X Topic Abstract

What is the value of software testing? We all feel that testing is something that ‘needs to be done’. But testing costs money: hours spent, test tooling, etc. How do we know that this money is well spent?
Software testers are basically modest people. But to emphasize our importance, we need to be heard, so we have to speak up! We need to show the decision makers where it hurts the most: in their wallets! Because the costs of bad testing show the importance of good test quality.

Behavior-driven development (BDD) is about implementing an application by describing its behavior from the perspective of its stakeholders. This approach is based on continuous conversation and collaboration between key stakeholders and feedback from a customer. There are a lot of advantages to this methodology, but there are also a lot of challenges you can encounter during the implementation.
During my career as a QE Manager working across different types of IT projects, I've encountered common reasons why attempts to introduce BDD failed. Here, I will discuss some of these reasons so you can be aware of typical hindrances and go into your BDD adoption with plans to avoid them.
